Description
To reduce noise and significantly increase energy efficiency when mowing dense grass with the brush cutter, the PolyCut 48-2 mowing head is fitted with 2 robust plastic blades instead of a cutting line. Compared to mowing work with a mowing line, the use of plastic blades noticeably reduces fuel consumption. The scope of delivery also includes 6 plastic blades as replacements. As an option, you can also fit the STIHL PolyCut 48-2 with a 2.4 mm or 2.7 mm diameter cutting line. This is particularly suitable for working along kerbs or other obstacles.
You can easily change the STIHL plastic blades. Once you have blocked the shaft with the plug supplied with your brush cutter, you can unscrew the cutting head and change the blades on the brush cutter. The STIHL PolyCut 48-2 is fitted with a protective plate as standard to reduce wear and increase the cutting height.
The STIHL PolyCut 48-2 mowing head can be used with the following STIHL brushcutters and brush cutters:
- STIHL FS 311
You can also use this cutting head with the STIHL FS 160, STIHL FS 220, STIHL FS 300, STIHL FS 350 and STIHL FS 360 brushcutters, which are no longer available.
