Description

The use of your STIHL petrol brush cutter is all the more efficient when it is operating at full capacity. To maintain the reliability of your STIHL brushcutter, you should maintain it proactively and regularly. Simple maintenance work with the components of Service Kit 41 is usually completed quickly and helps to increase the service life of your brushcutter.

The STIHL Service Kit 41 for FS 240, FS 261, FS 361, FS 410, FS 411, FS 461, FR 410 and FR 460 as well as the permanently discontinued FS 260, FS 360 and FS 460 contains the following components for standard maintenance:

  • Paper air filter
  • spark plug
  • Fuel filter

The long filter service life of STIHL air filters enables your equipment to be used for a long time. Clean filters increase the performance of the engine, reduce fuel consumption and make it easier to start the gasoline-powered tool. Regularly replacing the paper air filter reliably protects the engine of your brushcutter against the ingress of abrasive dust. Performance is maintained, fuel consumption remains low and you can continue to start your STIHL brushcutter with the usual ease.

You should also check the fuel filter to ensure that no foreign particles enter the engine via the fuel. Regular replacement of this component protects the engine and supports its long service life. Changing the spark plug is also recommended to ensure clean combustion in the engine and therefore optimum performance from your appliance.

You do not need any additional tools for standard maintenance work. You can use the combination wrench supplied with your STIHL brush cutter to change the air filter and spark plug. A cardboard hook is integrated in the packaging of the service kit for loosening the fuel filter.
