STIHL pruner HTA 160

The STIHL HTA 160 cordless pole pruner efficiently supports professionals in tree care, orchards, municipalities, agriculture and forestry when limbing trees, removing deadwood and storm debris and pruning fruit trees.

The powerful EC motor of the STIHL HTA 160 is powered by lithium-ion batteries from the STIHL AP system. The lightweight, robust magnesium gearbox supports easy maneuvering. You can use the pruner to make cuts on branches and trees up to 20 cm in diameter. The professional telescopic shaft with a particularly rigid square profile makes it easy to set the desired overall length of the HTA 160 up to 405 cm thanks to the quick adjustment. This makes exact positioning and precise cuts easy , even in higher areas of trees. You can even work up to a height of around 5 m for thinning tree crowns. The HTA 160 can be used with STIHL 3/8″ P saw chains, such as the STIHL 3/8″ P Picco Micro 3 (PM3) chain, or with 1/4″ P-STIHL saw chains such as the 1/4″ P Picco Micro 3 (PM3). With 1/4″ STIHL saw chains, no hearing protection is required, so that work in noise-sensitive areas is also possible.

A robust branch hook cast onto the compact cutting head makes it easier to grip and remove loose cuttings. The sprocket cover is equipped with a bearing bar for precise positioning and lateral chip ejection. All operating elements of the STIHL HTA 160 are conveniently located on the ergonomically optimized operating handle with LED display. The standard STIHL stand protects the engine housing of the pole pruner from contact with the ground. An easy-to-clean air filter with metal mesh supports optimum engine cooling and thus ensures a long service life for your STIHL HTA 160. The optionally available STIHL RTS back support system provides you with optimum relief and freedom of movement during long periods of work.

The STIHL HTA 160 has an overall length of 285 cm to 405 cm.

All cordless tools within the STIHL AP system are designed for professional users and for daily use even under adverse weather conditions. They therefore have tested splash water protection. Their effectiveness is verified by demanding internal tests. The splash water test is based on the IPX4 standard, among others.
