Description
The STIHL MS 462 C-M R petrol rescue saw offers special features especially for rescue workers, allowing them to carry out rescue tasks faster and more effectively. Thanks to the rescue saw, firefighters and technical aid workers can work with precision and also cut through resistant materials such as sheet metal, bitumen cardboard or wired glass. For this purpose, the rescue chainsaw is equipped with the extremely robust STIHL Rapid Duro R carbide saw chain with hardfacing made of impact-resistant carbide plates.
With its powerful STIHL 2-MIX engine, the STIHL MS 462 C-M R rescue chainsaw impresses with its low power-to-weight ratio. The chainsaw is equipped with the fully electronic STIHL M-Tronic engine management system for easy starting and optimum engine performance at all times. Other well thought-out features of the petrol chainsaw:
- Tool-free tank caps enable quick and easy filling with oil and gasoline.
- Changing the chain is quick and easy thanks to the captive nuts on the sprocket cover.
- For dusty work, the HD2 air filter with radial seal pays off, reliably protecting the engine from fine dust and being easy to clean with STIHL VarioClean, for example. By combining the HD2 air filter with the pre-separation system, which is also fitted as standard on the MS 462, you have a long-term air filter system.
The special features of the STIHL MS 462 C-M R as a rescue saw also include
- a large additional handle, which makes starting with gloves easier
- an additional handle for quick and easy adjustment of the cutting depth
- a cutting depth limiter for making controlled plunge cuts
