Description
The ergonomically designed, intuitive-to-use STIHL HTA 30 cordless pole pruner enables ambitious homeowners to work efficiently and comfortably on property, garden, and tree maintenance. Thanks to its tool-free, rigid telescoping shaft and automatic chain tensioning with an integrated spring mechanism, the STIHL HTA 30 provides efficient support when pruning high branches, as well as for shrub care and removing deadwood. The chain tension can be adjusted to the optimal level with a single hand movement by simply opening and closing the sprocket cover—quickly and intuitively for minimal interruptions during work. The tension lever integrated into the branch hook ensures the correct chain pre-tension, making it easy to quickly install the cutting assembly without tools after cleaning or changing the chain. The tension lever and all other controls on the HTA 30 are easy to operate even while wearing work gloves.
The electric motor is powered by two batteries from the STIHL AS system. It is low-vibration and operates quietly, allowing you to perform your maintenance work without ear protection, even in noise-sensitive areas. At the same time, the particularly compact and slim cutting head provides a clear view of the guide bar when making cuts and offers high agility when maneuvering in tight working situations in trees. For a clean cut and fast work progress, the HTA 30 is equipped with a STIHL 1/4″-PM3 saw chain and a STIHL Light 01 guide bar with a 20 cm bar length. This allows you to cut branches up to 17 cm in diameter cleanly and comfortably.
Operating the STIHL HTA 30 is simple and is done via the control handle with soft-grip elements and an ergonomic release mechanism. For comfortable work, the shaft is equipped with a rubberized grip sleeve, allowing the user to quickly and flexibly reposition their grip along the shaft depending on the working height. Thanks to the two-sided release mechanism, the ergonomic handle design, and the very light total weight of 3.6 kg, working with the HTA 30 is highly flexible, efficient, and effortless. Another feature of the STIHL HTA 30 is the sturdy stand integrated into the housing, which protects your tool from dirt and moisture. In addition, the HTA 30 features a hanging loop to which an optional single-shoulder strap can be attached, as well as a hanging loop for convenient wall storage.
The continuously adjustable telescopic shaft of the STIHL HTA 30 can be extended to a length of up to 280 cm; the total length of the tool ranges from 190 cm to 280 cm. With the telescopic shaft extended, the HTA 30 is suitable for working heights of up to 4.5 m and is easier to transport when shortened. With up to 140 cuts in 28 minutes of runtime per AS 2 battery charge (measured on 5 x 5 cm square timber, dry spruce), the HTA 30 offers sufficient power for most maintenance tasks.
